About Purlz Grandotta
Purlz Grandotta is a genealogical storytelling project rooted in love for family, history, and ancestral discovery. The name itself is a stylized tribute to “Pearl’s Granddaughter”—a reflection of generational connection and the belief that every family’s story deserves to be preserved, honored, and shared.
What began as a personal search for origins evolved into a deep exploration of records, archives, and lived history spanning multiple continents. Through parish registers, wills, probate files, plantation documents, DNA analysis, and community memory, this site documents the journeys of families whose lives shaped both local and global histories—especially those connected to the Caribbean and its diaspora.
Purlz Grandotta exists for anyone who has ever wondered:
- Where did my ancestors come from?
- What were their lives really like?
- How do their stories connect to our present?
This space serves as both a research archive and a narrative platform—blending facts with storytelling to bring forgotten or fragmented lives back into view. It is dedicated not only to named ancestors, but also to those whose stories were never formally recorded.
Above all, Purlz Grandotta is about honoring lineage through thoughtful research and respectful remembrance. The work shared here represents an ongoing journey—one branch leading to another, revealing the powerful connections between past and present.
